The side view of an aircraft that I came up with not too long ago. What I was basically aiming for was a less anime version of the J-2 Skyly from Sky Crawlers, which I believe shows most in the oversized blisters for the pistons, the contra rotary prop, as well as the three intakes on the belly (coolers plus supercharger).
The colour scheme is a fictional one and my take on WWII-style markings for the Belkan air forces (ace combat series).
Focke Wulf Fw-290

1x Südentor type 204 liquid-cooled supercharged V-24 CRP reciprocating engine (3290hp plus 350hp MW50 or 320hp GM1 WEP boost)
The aircraft was originally going to be equipped with a Pegasus XII turboprop engine, however delays on deliveries as well as complications with the engines themselves eventually lead to the installation of the type 204 piston engine for the mass produced variant of the fighter. Testing with the Pegasus XII continued at Focke Wulfs airfields though.
